This is a full time position, work from home, and can be filled from following states:

FL, IN, KS, MN, MO, NC, NE, NJ, NV, OH, PA, SC, TN, TX, VA, and WY

Starting base pay for ALL current employees who transfer to this position will also be $22,968 ($11.00/hr) non-negotiable.

This is an “At Home” position. As a Work at Home employee, you are responsible for obtaining your own computer system and home office, consistent with the requirements described below. Due to systems requirements, CenturyLink Work at Home employees must reside within legacy EMBARQ phone service territory.

Job Requirements :

As a Work at Home employee, you are responsible for obtaining your own computer system and home office, consistent with the requirements described below:

  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows, MAC, OS drivers, and familiarity with TCP/IP protocols
  • Strong knowledge of PC hardware/software and familiarity with data products and services
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to work self sufficiently and effectively in a home-based work environment
  • Ability to consistently handle a high volume of customer calls in a professional manner throughout the workday
  • Previous technical support experience is preferred

Systems Requirements:

1. At-Home Data Technical Specialists are responsible for having access to the following minimum technical requirements for “at home” work in this position:

  • PC with a minimum of Windows XP (Must be physically connected to router or modem using Ethernet cable)
  • 1.5 GHz Processor
  • 1 GB RAM
  • USB Webcam
  • PC headset and microphone
  • Latest virus and spyware software (trial software not allowed; must be up to date versions)
  • Must have legacy EMBARQ telephone service (your telephone line will be in use during scheduled work hours)
  • Must have legacy EMBARQ High Speed Internet Service, minimum speed (1.5 mbps)
  • DVD Player
  • 19″ Monitor is strongly recommended
  • Must purchase Telephone, Headset and Amplifier (Approx value $100); more information provided during training

2. Must meet the following CenturyLink physical/logistical requirements for “at home” work in this position:

  • You are responsible for establishing a dedicated work place in your home, or work location
  • The work place is to provide adequate work surface and be free of background noise and distractions
  • During assigned work hours you must make arrangements for child care and ensure that pets or others cannot be heard by customers.
  • Live in legacy EMBARQ service territory
  • Must be able to work within center hours: Mon-Sat 6 am-2 am ET, Sun 8 am-12 am ET. Employees will have an opportunity to bid on hours and days off each quarter based on seniority

  2. The wage is actually $10.50 hour. I don’t know why they are rounding it up to $11. Also there are rules about noise in your home, including children. They require that someone else is watching your children in a different room while you work.

This is a wonderful opportunity, and by the way even-though you have the privilege to work from you, you should still treat it as if you were at a seperate establishment and not have your children or noise in your workspace. I mean it is work I have six children under 9 and no problems in that area and I homeschool them.
