Update: 12-21-2009: Pierce-Eislen is currently hiring, starting January 4, 2010. Pay is $11 an hour. Hurry!
Pierce-Eislen is a real estate market research firm serving the commercial apartment industry in markets throughout the United States. The company provides an Internet-accessed product subscribed to by apartment industry professionals seeking information on specific apartment communities, or apartment market conditions.
They hire seasonal, part-time, contract surveyors to conduct Rent Surveys. The process requires calling apartment communities and asking various questions. Surveys are conducted three times a year (Jan/Feb, May/June and Sept/Oct), each lasting approx. 6 weeks.
Surveyors place phone calls to various apartment communities for such information as current rental rates. This is a work-from-home position, therefore applicants must have long-distance telephone service, high-speed Internet and a strong work ethic. (Outbound call experience is a plus.)

Interested applicants, please send a one-page resume to carissaw@pi-ei.com, ATTN: Carissa Wong
Compensation is $9-11/hour, with potential for bonuses.
This is a good work at home job opportunity - flexible, and NO strict background (noise) requirement.

It looks like it’s no longer available. On the link to more information you provided I read this: “Quizzes should be returned in a timely manner as these positions fill up quickly. We will be unable to accept quizzes received after Monday, December 29th as user names and passwords will need to be set up as well as market assignments.”
Hi,
Mandy,
Submit your resume to the email I indicated - I am not sure but I think they are recruiting for May/June assignments.
Keep an eye on them.
I am looking to join them (Pierce Eisler) as a contract photographer. I can’t get a lot of information about their company so am a little leery of giving them the personal information they require of contractors. As a contractor how much do I have to give them? Can they issue a 1099 without withholding anything and place the reporting burden on me? I really don’t want to give them my ssan without more verified information. D&B says they had sales of 1.1 mil last year against a paytoll of 30 employees. Either half work for free or something’s wrong. Also their Arizona street address is off the African coast in the Atlantic per Google Maps.
Any advice?
